Many people are pointing out changing attitudes to Wikipedia in the light of chatbot use. Apart from the obvious problems with using current chatbots for fact retrieval, there is a more fundamental difference between using chatbots and using Wikipedia, that is inherent and not solvable within the chatbot paradigm.
With Wikipedia, we are all looking at the same thing, and you can verify that we are (even download).
With chatbots, everyone gets different results, making verification meaningless.
