First nostr post: How is it possible to not know who is Satoshi Nakamoto?
1. He obviously used internet so his IP address should be pointing somewhere. Also you cannot use the internet without paying to ISP provider.
2. He used email. If he had his own mail server it must have had static IP. If he used cloud VM, he would have to register an account. So probably he didn't use cloud VM. So then he must have payed for static IP.
3. He may have used VPN, but such discipline is difficult to imagine - never to use your computer without it. Even if he did, were there such strong (no logs) VPN services back in the days like we have today?
This question is interesting to me in principle, not so much who the real person is (I personally believe he is Hal Finney). What's interesting to me is how you can be anonymous in the internet like he was. I don't understand how is this possible.
