ICYMI β you can now listen to my interview with Bluesky CEO Jay Graber on Spotify or wherever else fine podcasts are traded.
We go pretty deep contrasting #ATProtocol and #ActivityPub, discuss challenges with "creator mobility" and touch on opportunities to serve the decentralized social web.

Going out on a short limb here, but my guess is that @arcinternet@threads.net's Act II is going to be building the Arc AI Search Engine.
The biggest swing they can take is at replacing Google with a Perplexity-style AI search engine that lives inside of their cross-platform Chrome-killer.
Just a hunch.

Happy 16th #hashtagiversary! The humble hashtag turns old enough to drive today! π
Here's my proposal that kicked it off. Some of the ideas in here have still never been built by a mainstream social media platform. π¬

On the topic of hashtag accessibility, I stronger concur with @npub1t8ve...k9sj's points:
1. Should hashtags be grouped at the end of a post or is it okay to add hashtags to words inline? Screen readers will treat them the same either way.
2. Is it necessary to capitalize single words? No.
3. What about branded words? This is more complex, but as a rule of thumb itβs okay to capitalize branded words as they are.
