Like all good Christmas movies, it’s actually about Advent and preparing ourselves for the change that Christ brings to the world. It’s a Wonderful Life is the greatest Christmas movie of all time because it demonstrates the difference Christ makes in issuing His second greatest commandment. This film demonstrates a world that would be dominated by the love of money over the love of neighbor. Pottersville is a real possibility if good men choose to not act.

Trade & labor are willing the good of neighbor, but what's that? It all boils down to Goodness, Truth, and Beauty. Each service we render and good we deliver result in some increase in goodness, truth, and beauty in or for the other. This can become our aim, and we can then better fulfill that purpose to which God has called us as professionals. PS: Nothing lacking beauty can be called good. Nothing untrue can be truly beautiful. Nothing without goodness is true. Goodness makes a thing more beautiful. Truth makes a thing better. Beauty makes a thing more true.
