Here is this week's #Linux and #OpenSource News video, in which it seems like #Nvidia is really starting to take an interest in Linux, and the #EU is walking back a lot of the privacy protections it offers:
#Valve announ ced a new #Steam Controller,Console, and VR headset, which you all know about cause you were all awake when this dropped while my French ass was fast asleep.
Here are my thoughts!

In this one, Python refuses big money to avoid compromising on their principles, the AUR is under attack yet again, and Unity (the desktop) is in trouble.

#KDE Plasma 6.5 should release today (if it's not already out), so here is a look at most of the features I could find that are included in there.
This is definitely one of these "tock" releases that refines, improves, and fixes, instead of outright changing things, and I think it's exactly what we need!
#Windows 10 is now End of Life, which in itself is normal, but also, this is a very specific event, because, first Windows 10 is still huge, and second, the options are very, very limited, and all bad.
let's talk about it:
#Ubuntu 25.10 should release today, so here is a look at everything that changed in there, from Ubuntu specific changes, default app changes and removals, under the hood stuff, and also the changes brought in from GNOME 49:
It's been brought to my attention that my coverage of GNOME 49 was sub-par in some areas, notably the papers PDF viewer, and the Calendar changes.
One of these issues seems to stem from a naming issue: what I call "annotating" a PDF is adding inline text zones. A pop-up note that you click on isn't an "annotation", at least it isn't in the French sense of the word. But yes, paper does have "annotations"s as a sticky note on top of a PDF.
As per Calendar, I missed a bunch of changes in there.
