I am exceedingly happy (and also relieved) that the upgrade of アノニマスの見解 PeerTube to v8.0.1 has been completed successfully. The video player has been improved somewhat, and apparently channels can now have collaborator-admins? I'm not going to use that, though... Anyway, rejoice!
It's Christmas (Streaming Satur)Day! I tried a little spoonful of the eggnog I made last night, and it tastes perfect. Now I just need to decide which KFC combo to get for dinner and everything'll be set. Just as a reminder, since Gloomwood didn't come through this week, tonight will be "Shadows of Doubt" Secret Santa, where we use the investigation mechanics to study whether random citizens are Naughty or Nice, and give them presents or punish them accordingly.
So I had an icing recipe that called for confectioner's sugar, and I thought I'd have to order some kind of special non-sugar version to keep to muh diet, but it turns out if you run any kind of granulated sugar through a food processor or blender or whatever you can reduce it to a fine powder and just use that. So anyway, I made royal icing for my Christmas cake. Turned out pretty good, given everything was the ghetto version of the recipe.
I've made up my mind that while (surrogate) Christmas Dinner will be KFC, as is Japanese tradition, I will go the extra mile in making my own Christmas cake, as well as my own eggnog and mulled wine. I figure I might as well be bloated AND hung over for the Christmas stream. We are T-minus 4.5 hours away from the Winter Sale, at which point I find out if Gloomwood will come through on its promise to release the Hightown update, at which point I will try to marathon through from the start up to the merchant's shop, so we can focus exclusively on the new content for the stream. I might be able to get away with playing off an older version save, but there's the risk of bugs or other incompatibilities, so if possible a fresh, clean save would be better.
Christmas Streaming Special 2025 This weekend, it's a Very Unspecified Christmas! Something is going to happen, and it's going to be Festive. What will it actually be? Nobody knows, not even me (yet)! If Gloomwood's "Hightown" update comes out this week and I can power through everything up the city area on a new save, then we'll enjoy a stealthy winter wonderland. If not, then it's off to play Secret S̶t̶a̶l̶k̶e̶r̶ Santa in "Shadows of Doubt". If time permits, maybe we'll even enjoy a little bit of CULTIC's "Home for Cultmas" bonus update.
