My farmers hobby:
1. Get unpasteurized #raw milk from a farmer. (Important β 30β50% of the nutrients are lost during pasteurization, including the enzymes that help break down lactose.)
2. Combine the milk with #kefir grains in two glass jars. (The kefir grains remove any harmful bacterial cultures and introduce beneficial ones that help heal the gut and repair leaky gut.)
3. Make a wild yogurt batch by using only raw milk and raw honey. This creates a thick yogurt and a thinner whey soda.
4. After three days of fermentation, separate the yogurt and the whey soda. I mix the thick yogurt with the more liquid kefir to make it creamier.
5. I use the device you see in the video to remove lumps and smooth it out. This also separates the kefir grains, which I save for the next batch.
6. I mix the whey soda with grated ginger and more raw honey to create a kind of whey-soda #kombucha. It should ferment for 3β5 days. This is a new idea Iβm trying out this week.
