The film "Hackers" was released 30 years ago today. It doesn't have the best plot in some respects, but I love the music, the aesthetic, and the characters' sheer enjoyment of their computers and the net. One of my favourite films :) #HackThePlanet
There is nothing like lying in bed, listening to the wind and rain, to make one grateful to have a roof over one's head, and warmth.
A local pub has started - within the last few days - showing a Union Jack flag outside. I have not seen it do this before, although I go past it regularly. I don't go there, and had no plans to do so, but all the same, *sigh*

# 1.6 million Brits hit switch on their landline or broadband provider I guess that competition is good, as is removing barriers to switching. But I also find it a bit odd to celebrate this, perpetuating the nonsense of deep initial discounts followed by price hikes. What about a focus on ISPs which do things so well, including their approach to pricing, that they keep their customers happy, with no reason to want to switch? https://www.ofcom.org.uk/phones-and-broadband/switching-provider/1.6-million-brits-hit-switch-on-their-broadband-provider

# urlref: website bookmarking for handwritten notes This blog post, by @npub1h9rq...mw3n, is incredibly cool! A self-hosted URL shortener type tool, which generates a short code for offline referencing, with browser integration to get back to the original URL.
I am confident that I had these settings disabled in Firefox. Else they are new, and defaulted on. I make sure I keep this kind of thing turned off. Either way, I saw an advert - a sponsored site - in Firefox today, and found these settings enabled. *sigh* image
