Over the last couple weeks I've been experimenting with potential ways to apply a sealant of some sort to the inside of the Jinhao 10 (and presumably 20) around the part with the trap door (not the door itself). I designed and 3D printed these, based on the nib unit, to poke/prod at the inside in various ways. So far nothing has worked to get coverage in the correct place, though. At least now I have a variety of ways to open the trap door and inspect things, I guess? #FountainPens

The two new Jinhao 20s survived the weekend of non-use but not unscathed. The silver one had a slight hard start, gold one was OK. However, both appear to have evaporated a tad as the ink is noticeably darker on paper than it was last week. The ink in the converter still appears to be decent. Maybe just need to write more. I may try adding some silicone grease around the door since I didn't see any light leaking before, and no obvious problems with the doors. #FountainPens #FountainPen

CVS has already given up on 2025 and is well into 2026. I was tempted, but resisted the out-of-season produce.
