People do love their papiermarks. Even using bitcoin they dream of a day where they'll be able to get millions of papiermarks in exchange for the hardest form of money ever discovered. They don't understand what bitcoin is and they don't hold the coins. They are just mindless custodians for future sovereign users. Some of those are babies now or they aren't even born yet. Going to such lengths to manipulate the market should be an indicator of how valuable your satoshis really are.
