I'm thinking about switching to better privacy-first service providers in place of Cloudflare workers and GitHub pages. anyone suggestions? looking at Stackit. static site hosting + really simple server functions. (fyi this is the monstrous cookie list GitHub has now:

Someone made a website that ask for people’s PII—Social Security Number in full, birthday, name, address, in order to put information programmatically into a PDF petition form, so people only need to print and sign. This is cause writing in Chinese characters “neatly” (PRINT) is very difficult. My stance is, under no circumstances should anyone input these all in to a web form, like duh? The risk is…

Hi! We are looking for London shops (staffed public spaces with set hours) willing to help collecting petitions to recall congress people from Taiwanese diaspora. Plus+ if they can help print the petition form. If you’re in other big cities in EU/US, there’s currently no known demand, but it might help if we make it known. I am surprised at the lack of international coverage on the political movements in #Taiwan right now, so I guess I will do my own reporting, and hopefully y’all can help spread awareness. Perhaps international coverage would put pressure on the congress. These are self-organized citizens on the street every day gathering petitions to recall congress people that no longer respect the democratic process in Taiwan and are passing bills undermining the sovereignty. 請問大家有推薦台灣工廠的周邊小物製作公司嗎？問來問去都是中國廠。

I started doing accessibility at GitHub when it had a flat structure (2013) and no one was telling me what to do. In my free time I will just browse the issue backlog and find things I could do. Eventually, I found that there are tons of accessibility issues that are just stale, and a lot of them were just like: this icon button isn’t labeled. I looked at them and thought oh that’s easy. I will fix it. At one point I added so many aria-labels that AT users got mad that they’re getting misused.

I only recently learned that Figma doesn’t do CMYK export (official response suggests a paid 3rd party plugin) and also doesn’t support turning off anti-aliasing when exporting PNGs. What do people use instead for these things if not Adobe?
