Substack is not required by the Australian government to do this age verification, yet they go out of their way to do it. Why? They'd be happy if the restriction was broadened. It adds barriers to competitors. And they're ready for it. It's frustrating to see these controls gaining traction, and people accepting it.
We must keep building the decentralised tools of the future so they're ready when people are.
