I love Japanese vinyl. The packing of this 1972 release is so dope. Just bummed this copy didn’t have its original obi strip.

Currently spinning The Great Impersonator by Halsey. I’ve always enjoyed her music, but I gained a whole new level of respect when I learned the concept behind this record. Each song is inspired by an artist who influenced her, and it’s fascinating to hear how she writes within those frames of reference while still sounding like herself. This is a true concept album that rewards multiple listens. It did well commercially and critically, but as a music nerd, I think it deserved even more shine. This is exactly the kind of album I love sinking my teeth into.
