in US Healthcare, prices aren't an indication of quality at all. instead, prices are a ransom note determined by administrators they are most definitely not a proxy for quality--which is what you'd expect in a free market--but rather a proxy for how much the hospital system thinks they can get away with the govt shutdown is over healthcare expenses...good. way overdue to point the spotlight at this wasteful fiat system.
