Here are some (mostly) practical steps you can take to reduce your unnatural EMF (electromagnetic frequency) exposure. To keep this post shorter, I'm not including sources. I recommend using these steps as a starting point for your own research. #emfs #cellphones #wifi #bluetooth #wireless #bible #linux Ideal home setup: 100% hard-wired devices. Have every wireless device hard-wired using Ethernet cables that run to your router. No cell tower connections, WiFi, Bluetooth, smart devices, etc.. For devices that don't have Ethernet ports, use adapters like Ethernet to USB-C which works for many smart phones. Most realistic approach: Use WiFi for most of your wireless devices but in a way that reduces overall EMFs by following as many of the steps below as you reasonably can. 1. Stay personally grounded by "grounding"/"earthing" by being connected to the earth's electromagnetic field (Schumann resonances). Some believe that most negative EMF effects are avoided while you're grounded. Grounding is best done by being barefoot while off of anything man made, but some say that standing on concrete that's not sealed works as well. 2. Turn off whatever type of radiation your devices aren't actively using. For example, your cell phone can emit radiation for a cell tower connection, WiFi, & Bluetooth. If you're using it with WiFi, turn off the Bluetooth & cell tower connections. Also, most WiFi routers come preset to constantly emit 2.4 GHz & 5 GHz signals. Turn off the 5 GHz signal & only use 2.4 GHz. 2.4 GHz is fast enough for normal internet usage & even streaming. It also has a better range than 5 GHz & is a lower frequency (closer to the earth's frequency), so it's not as bad for you. 3. Use WiFi calling & texting. Less radiation is emitted by your phone to reach a nearby router than a far away cell tower. 4. Put your router as far as possible from sleeping areas & where you spend the most time. Balance this with the fact that the farther devices are from the router, the stronger their signal will be so that they can effectively communicate with the router. 5. Consider putting your router as close to middle of home as possible (while balancing with the last step mentioned) so that the signal strength can be set as low as possible while still reaching the whole house. Being central in the house also makes it easier to hard-wire everything to it without needing to use as much cord. 6. When you have to connect you phone to a cell tower, use your phone's lowest G (generation) setting when not on WiFi. 3G is best then 4G, LTE, LTE Advanced, LTE Advanced Pro/4.5G, then worst of all, 5G. Note that not everywhere ranks the different LTE versions the same or uses all of those names. Also, 4G is the lowest available option in the United States now. 7. If devices (especially phones that need to be online all the time) are on WiFi, set them away from yourself in a spot where you can hear notifications or calls from them thruout the house & also that's as close to the router as possible while being far away as possible from where you spend most of your time. 8. When streaming videos, use as low quality of resolution as possible to use less data which reduces radiation. 9. Turn off all electrical circuits in your house that you don't need, easiest to do at night when lighting-specific circuits aren't in use anyway. 10. Sleep next to as few outlets as possible. 11. Live in an area with a low home density. This means fewer routers, IoT devices, Bluetooth emissions, & cell towers since there are fewer cell phones for towers to service. 12. Live away from high voltage power lines (the big metal ones). 13. Get a high quality EMF scanner to determine where the best & worst radiation spots are in your home. 14. Shield you house from EMFs. This should only be done by professionals or with adequate research combined with EMF scanners. Just adding shielding material wherever you can has the potential to make things worse. 15. Use a router with the OpenWrt operating system (Linux-based). It lets you control your signal strength so it's only as strong as you need it to be to get the coverage you need. You can also tell it how often you want to send out a beacon interval. The beacon interval is usually sent multiple times per second by all routers & is used to syncronize all devices using the router's WiFi. Setting a longer interval so that the beacon is sent fewer times per second reduces radiation. However, setting it too high can result in connectivity issues for some devices, & beacon signals are a small source of radiation compared to even normal, non audio & video web browsing. OpenWrt is also great for security & is free and open source. 16. If you can't hard-wire your laptop, connect it to your cell phone using USB tethering & connect your cell phone to WiFi. This way, the WiFi emitting device will be a couple feet away from you instead of touching you. 17. Reduce radiation by always using electric cables that have a grounding prong, & don't use devices while they're charging. 18. If you use radiation absorbing attachments on your devices, know that it will result in them emitting stronger signals. Devices automatically adjust signal strength to maintain a good connection to routers or cell towers. 19. Grounding mats can be beneficial for your health, but that depends on how well the home's electrical system is set up. Sometimes they can increase your EMF exposure because of grounding wiring getting "dirty electricity" from other wiring. Additional info on calling & texting over WiFi: To still receive normal texts (SMS & MMS) & calls on your cell phone, turn on VoWiFi (voice over WiFi) which is often labeled as "WiFi calling". That setting should also turn on WiFi texting even tho it's a different technology than VoWiFi. It's worth noting, tho, that some MMS (Multimedia Messaging Service) texts (pictures & group messages mainly) don't work well with the VoWiFi setting, & you may not get any voicemail message notifications. You can occasionally connect your phone to a cell tower to receive whichever of those you've missed. Another option is signing up for a VOIP (voice over IP) service that you use with an app. That lets you reliably get SMS & MMS texts, calls, & voicemails when you have an internet connection. Closing notes: Balance is important. Do the most effective things that are also reasonable to for you to do & don't stress about reaching perfection. That stress could easily negate the health benefits of the radiation reduction measures you take. As hard as it is to not stress, we're told by Jesus not to worry in Matthew 6:25-34: "Therefore, I tell you, don't be anxious for your life, what you will eat, or what you will drink; nor yet for your body, what you will put on. Isn't life more than food, and the body more than clothing? See the birds of the sky, that they don't sow, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns. Your heavenly Father feeds them. Aren't you of much more value than they? Which of you, by being anxious, can add one cubit to the measure of his life? Why are you anxious about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow. They don't toil, neither do they spin, yet I tell you that even Solomon in all his glory was not dressed like one of these. But if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today exists, and tomorrow is cast into the oven, won't he much more clothe you, you of little faith? Therefore don't be anxious, saying, 'What will we eat?', 'What will we drink?' or, 'With what will we be clothed?' For the Gentiles seek after all these things, for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things.
