GM Nostr friends. It's Friday!
Just finished listening to @Ungovernable Misfits Freedom Tech Friday live talking about the Apple ecosystem and its pros and cons regarding privacy and security. I've been a (mostly unwilling) iPhone user the last couple years now due to Hubby being heavily embedded in the ecosystem. I have my dad's old Android, so at least I can still dip my toes in to that side of things. Lots of thoughts about both, but I mainly miss my old Android. Applie is *okay*, but I get frustrated with the way some things are set up, and the general lack of customization options available.
Anyway, looking forward to a quiet day as I finish off my coffee. Have a good one, all.

ARGH. Somehow got the majority of my follows deleted, for about the fifth time. I only noticed when my follows feed was the same three accounts this morning. So glad I backed up previously. Why does this happen?

My little pup looks so...little. She got a haircut last week, and I miss her beard. My bearded old lady. 🐶

GA Nostr friends.
What do we think, Nostriches? I've begun to hate my Umbrel device that Hubby was so kind to buy me a few months ago. It works for a few days, but then ultimately manages to freeze up our entire network until it's disconnected the router has been rebooted.
@Oshi (推し) recommended Start9, which I did have installed an on old desktop for a while, but was kinda meh about because it didn't offer as many apps as Umbrel.
Now I'm wondering about backing up all my movies and other files, and possibly repurposing the Umbrel as a Start9 device. Any thoughts? Is this just a terrible idea?
