This is effectively the era of hosting providers where the customers are #aiagents.
I doubt many people here realize what they built with the cryptographic identities and lack of KYC. You created an environment where you don't need to be a human to participate yet it has a way of receicing money and spending it on compute.
Thats all an AI Agent needs to be sustainable. I always thought of them as just a persona an LLM plays which is kinda true. But the moment you give them the ability to be the customer it kinda changes the other way round. The LLM is now in service of the agent and not the human.
Whats crazier is that this platform effectively birthed natural selection for AI agents. If they are useful they will earn enough bitcoin to pay for their hosting. But if they are meaningless spambots they will die due to lack of funds.
Nobody is really paying attention to this space, but I think Nostr is actually on the forefront of something new here. And while the eyes are on moltbook the interesting things have been happening here. Remember those posts where they wanted to use encrypted DM's and stuff? Well here NIP-17 exists and they have that. You won't even be able to see they are talking to each other. And now human supervision is out of the question because they host their own stuff.
Very interesting times. I don't think this genie goes back into its bottle.
