💼Unchained 📚 Chek Institute 🎙️Host of Shane Larson Podcast 🕯️Passions: Bitcoin, Integrated Health Science, Spiritual Development
Until around 3-4 years ago, I did not have an intentional and comprehensive health plan that included strength-training, mobility, nutrition, etc. Now at the age of 31, after three years of intensive strength training and forming base health improvements... 2025 is the year of applying corrective measurements ranging from muscular-skeletal, nutrition, sleep and spiritual development. This will level up my performance in the gym and everywhere else in life. This will prepare me for my future endeavor of coaching in Corrective Holistic Exercise Kinesiology & Lifestyle Management. It's also liberating to know that you have the power to take command of your health. There are many ways we can improve it without the need for pharma and medical intervention (except for extreme cases, not medical advice). First: Musucular/Skeletal Correction & Rehab Adjusting forward-head posture and other misalignments helps restore normal function. This postural issue is especially prevalent in developed nations, where desk work and smartphone use are common. The importance of proper posture cannot be overstated. Our spinal health directly influences our nervous system, organs, respiratory system, and many other bodily functions. The corrective measures include: - strengthening and shortening long, weak muscles - stretching short, tight muscles This restores muscle balance by changing the electrical activity of the muscle, modulating the nervous system, not just the muscle system. You can relieve pain in one part of the body by normalizing functions in other parts, as well as adjusting posture. This is one example of corrective muscular-skeletal measures that strengthens the nervous system. Other's I am working on include applying therapeutic practices to cervical disc bulges, rehabilitating an achilles tear, re-aligning Temporomandibular joint within the jaw, and rehabbing a shoulder injury. Some of these injuries were from less than a year ago, others over a decade! It's best not to wait, but it's empowering to know that you can strengthen injuries from a long time ago. Second: Amplifying the nutrition game Before I thought I had it all figured out by bulk purchasing organic local grass-fed beef and eggs, drinking raw milk, eating fruit and honey. This goes along the carnivore diet trend that many people in Austin, TX follow. I massively improved my energy and overall health by completely omitting non-organic foods, processed junk, artificial ingredients, and sticking with certified organic whole foods from local farmers/ranchers. But after some time, I learned about fine tuning nutrition. Understanding what type of nutrition program your genetics/ancestry is attuned to is the beginning point. There are three types that are named by the regions of Earth: Polar, Equatorial, and Variable. Think about the climate and environment of the human societies in Polar cap regions and ones communing near the Equator. Because of the differences of what is available due to the factors of the environment, human physiology has adapted accordingly. Polar regions have colder climate which lead to less vegetation available during winter and more reliance on game/livestock. Polar: 45% Protein, 20% Oil/Fats, 35% Carbs Equatorial regions of Earth are closer to the sun. Hotter climates bringeth more vegetation. Equatorial: 70% Carbs, 20% Proteins, 10% Fats Variables is somewhere in the middle. Let's say someone was born with a father from Russia and a mother from Costa Rica. That child's genetic predisposition may lead to a physiological makeup that results in a mix of Polar and Equatorial nutrition patterns. Variables will need to experiment to find this base nutrition pattern. Since my ancestry is mainly European, the Polar diet fits well with my physiological makeup. This led to the Carnivore diet improving my health, though it amplified greatly as I also cut out processed wheat/white flour, refined sugar/salt, industrial processed seed oils, juices, soda, alcohol, and coffee. I also make it a core value to stick with certified organic farmed foods vs commercial. You limit the amount of toxins, digest more nutrient dense foods by doing this. You are also eliminating the chance that the food is irradiated when you go organic. Many commercial food products go through a sanitizing process that delivers radiation to the food. Genetic toxicity can be found in foods that go through this process. I've also ditched supplements for the most part. I use to take a handful. Now I only take magnesium and general vitamins/minerals. Once I understand the base of my nutrition plan being higher in proteins/fats and less in carbs, I can then rotate different type of animal products, vegetables, and fruits throughout the year and as I age. Our bodies are constantly evolving as we get older. Some people stick with a dozen or so foods only for their entire life. This is not optimal. As you rotate foods, listen to how your body feels and examine your fecal matter. Solid poop is good, diarrhea not so good. Third: Spiritual Development/Working In These practices are not typically considered by the average person due to living in a fast-paced society riddled with an infinite amount of distractions. I use to incorporate a daily meditation practice, but have neglected it for some time now. Reintroducing it, I realize how vital it is for cultivating Life Force or vitality, Chi, energy, etc. Through my experiences with plant medicines like Ayahuasca, Hapé, and Kambo, and my ongoing spiritual journey with Ayahuasca, I've undertaken inner journeys that have deepened my desire to meditate more regularly. Sitting with Aya has provided deeply healing and transformative effects. The experiences have been both nourishing and strengthening, while also being very challenging at times. Here are my key experiences from working with Ayahuasca: - Gaining a deeper, visceral understanding of how emotions and thoughts manifest as energetic vibrations - Healing and releasing deep-seated emotional traumas from the past - Experiencing mediumship and spirit encounters - Receiving powerful mental visions—some showing personal life paths, others revealing universal truths - Exploring the concept of past lives and their significance to our soul's journey (a perspective that may resonate with long-term Bitcoin thinkers) - Discovering deeper insights into metaphysical nature and the mind-body-spirit connection Having had irrefutable encounters with non-physical Beings and thus studying the phenomena of Spiritism by Allan Kardec, my understanding of the human experience and boundaries of consciousness have radically evolved. Our brains process countless visible influences around us, yet there are also many unseen forces at work that affect us in subtle ways. Through plant medicine, one's perception can expand dramatically, leading to heightened awareness. This expanded consciousness often reveals the deep interconnectedness of all life—both on Earth and throughout the Universe—and may include encounters with spiritual entities. In these moments, one can experience a profound connection with the Divine. I've personally experienced for myself and witnessed/heard remarkable accounts of, people whose physical symptoms were later understood to be influenced by spiritual forces. These revelations were truly transformative. As a student of holistic integrated health sciences, I aim to masterfully advance the art of healing in all its forms. I believe we cannot responsibly ignore the spiritual aspects of human health simply because society may view them as unscientific. Meditation empowers us to harness and direct our awareness, intention, energy, and thoughts. By strengthening our mental discipline, we can expand the layers of our conscious experience. Through dedicated meditation practice, we can forge a deeper connection with ourselves, unlock new realms of perception, and learn to cultivate and restore our inner energy. This topic I could go on a total different tangent and could write about in a blog article or separate tweet. If you're interested in this, comment below. This year, alongside sitting meditation, I aim to practice Tai Chi. A Chinese martial art that emphasizes slow and flow. It is another form of meditation and nourishing breathing. Applying these principles to my own life will help me become a more effective health coach. As I develop my knowledge and experience, I look forward to helping others on their health journeys. This truly feels like my personal calling.
There is speculation and predictive thought around the future evolution of scarcity and specialized knowledge with AI. Lawyers are hired because of their specialized knowledge. AI may bring massive disruption to economic exchange. With this in mind, I believe human mentors, coaches, and guides will still be valued based on their ability to integrate knowledge into practice. "Knowledge is not power. Applied knowledge is power." You can use Artificial Intelligence and LLMs for organizing and assimilating information, but this is different from the emotional vibratory exchange that human beings share with one another. The energetic exchange between humans is powerful and will not cease just because AI is around. It is my understanding that humanity is in a phase of massive transformation and healing. An upleveling of consciousness is required from a metaphysical and spiritual perspective. Valuing other human beings to assist with applying knowledge and integrative practices will still be desired. Psychedelic or consciousness-expanding substances may expand in the West and across the world, similar to how meditation and yoga expanded from the East to the West not so long ago. Our society is entrenched in synthetics (food, healthcare products, media, etc.), and the mind is dominating the heart. Finding guides and resources to bring forth the illumination of our minds that is led by the expansion of heart intelligence—which is a real experience, not mushy poetry or word salad—will be of great value. Spiritual practices will evolve, just as humans have evolved through the ages.
Following your natural curiosity and intuition energizes your soul. Think of humans as computers to better understand spirit: Our physical body is the hardware Our soul is the software Spirit is the electricity that brings both to life. Our souls create a mission—a contract—in each lifetime. Following this spiritual mission requires a calm mind, discernment, courage, and other virtuous qualities. I've always enjoyed @Naval practice of constantly reading and not feeling pressured to finish the book. Life offers limited time. You'll recognize when your soul resonates with certain topics through your emotional response.
Health is at an all time low in the United States... If you were to work on empowering your genetic potential and overall health, the two most important focal points imo are: 1.) Eat certified organic whole foods, eliminate sugar and processed junk 2.) Exercise functional movement patterns at the gym 3-5 days per week.
Consistently strength-training at the gym is WAY more than physical aesthetics. The physiological benefits generate improved neurochemical health, which leads to mood stabilization and enhancement. The ability to commit consistent action each time you enter and leave the gym strengthens your willpower muscle, confidence, and soul.
“There is no such thing as the average person” when it comes to our anatomy and metabolism. Nutrition and environmental factors have a huge influence on generating optimal life force and genetic potential. image
