We are having a massive rainstorm in Wyoming in mid-December. Is this the end of the world? Ok, that is a joke even if I do believe our time left on earth is short, but this is the strangest weather I have ever encountered in my life. The East Coast is having unusually cold weather and we are having warm, wet weather. It is so weird! We rarely get this much hard rain in the spring. We've never gotten any rain in December in the 20+ years I've lived here. (Snow? Yes! Rain? Never!)
I am doing a promotion on my ebooks. (I can’t really discount my paperbacks because I already make less than $0.50 each). “Joy in the Storm” and “Why I Need Jesus” are available at only $0.99 in ebook form through the end of January. I just instituted the discount, so if the discount isn’t available at the distributor of your choice, check back in a few hours. They are also available on Amazon or Barnes & Noble as paperback for those who like a physical book. “Why I Need Jesus” is only $5.99 and “Joy in the Storm” is $7.99. Check availability at links here. For some reason, the consolidator link isn’t showing “Joy in the Storm” being available in print on Amazon, but it is. I was hoping to have my newest book, "Learning About God Through Laughter" ready before the end of the year, but editing is taking a little longer than I'd hoped.
I just finished the first draft of my book, “Learning About God Through Laughter.” Originally I had written 20 chapters, but had several suggest 30 chapters so it could be a one month devotional, so I added another 10 chapters. Because of copyright laws, I was tracking how many verses I used. It came out to exactly 365 verses — one for every day of the year. That makes me feel good about my book and that God was leading me in the writing. Now to the tedious and onerous task of editing and review. I already have some people reviewing the first 20 chapters. Now I’ll get to ask if people can add another 10 chapters to review. Whew! #biblestr
My son will be graduating with a double major in computer science and math in a year and a half. He currently has straight A's and will be graduating from the honors program. We are wondering if he is best off going straight into the job market, or would he be better off getting a masters. He could excel in a masters, but college is expensive. I know the programming space is getting more competitive, so any advice would be appreciated. Thanks.
