Oh great, so I parkour my way through the Blasted Steps and now they give me another goddamn boss fight that rocks my cock off in three hits, this is bullshit (also I can't wait to keep playing it tomorrow)
I've hit the part of Silksong where it just punches you in the balls over and over again. Sinner's Path was bad enough, but the Blasted Steps are parkour insanity. I'm going to give myself a stress headache trying to get through this shit.
"Let's Try: Silksong - the VOD!" is now available on Odysee:
Following the stream yesterday, I've been playing Silksong more or less non-stop. I found my first alternate Crest, and it's another good way they differentiate from Hollow Knight. A Crest (loadable/swappable when resting at benches) lets you change up your attack move-set. The base Crest (Hunter) is fast, nimble, and mostly seems to focus on quick strikes and evasion. The Crest I found (Reaper) changes the moveset to be slower and less mobile, but heavier hitting, changing up the way attacks move and the directions you threaten with swings. On the whole, everything feels more modular, and there's more room to customize a loadout based on Crests and charms attached to them. Adds more of a strategic element which I enjoy. I continue to feel that Silksong isn't just "more Hollow Knight", they've actually improved on the forumla.
Given the situation forming in Japan with Komeito breaking away from their quarter-century coalition with the LDP and the possibility of an opposition-backed PM candidate during the formal election of the Prime Minister, I think I'm going to wait until after the dust is settled before barfing out another No One Cares video on the subject. Better to wait for the final tally to come in and then do a retrospective on the whole affair. Meanwhile, Nothing Ever Happens Bros (Japan Division) on suicide watch.
