honestly if big tech services outside hardware went away tomorrow, after a brief panic we'd all calm down and find replacements. Like everyone would. In particular I've seen my kids over the last decade or so adopt new platform time and again, and drop most. Social media, search, these are fungible. Apropos of nothing in particular.
I know people often don't like to watch their own presentations but it really helps you improve. And particularly if you live code in your presentations–please watch. You'll likely find it sobering-the long pauses, the truncated sentences, the lack of focus on the audience. Then there's the almost impossible to follow code that flashes constantly with autocomplete, thetiny tiny text. Trust me, you simply can't present well and code at the same time same time, and it should be outlawed.
