Heads up on recent mesa upgrades in postmarketOS edge: * Due to changes in the drivers for the Mali GPUs in Mediatek SoCs like MT8183, the recent update to Mesa 25 causes graphical display issues on Mediatek SoCs. A workaround is in preparation:

 * The qcom/adreno bug that caused GTK4 apps to fail to start with the new GTK4 rendering backend has been fixed in the latest patch release! Related workaround will be removed once it is in flatpak:

In our previous blog post 2025 Priorities: Reliability, Audio, Cameras and More, we asked "is there anything that you find terribly important that we have missed here?". And indeed, there was one thing that people would have liked us to focus more on, which is a better keyboard experience. This was unbelievably great timing, because we are actually integrating a new keyboard with great new features!

🗨 As the Matrix.org bridge to the OFTC IRC network will likely stop working soon, we are now self-hosting our own bridge for postmarketOS related channels. The chats should continue to work the same as before, but let us know if you run into unexpected issues. If you are a well known community member who runs one or more channels related to postmarketOS (e.g. for mainlining a specific SoC) and would like to use our bridge too, then let us know!
