The Trezor Academy Hangout Recap (31/01/2026) hosted by @Bitcoin Arusha in Tanzania was truly epic and impactful. The session provided deep insights into what Trezor is, the role of Trezor Academy, and their core mission of advancing Bitcoin education, security, and self-custody in Africa and beyond the world.
Participants learned foundational and practical knowledge about Bitcoin, the importance of self-custody, and why taking control of private keys is essential for financial sovereignty. The discussion clearly highlighted how Trezor Academy empowers individuals and communities through structured Bitcoin education, hands-on learning, and real-world security practices.
We also had an engaging discussion about Vexl, how it works, how it operates, and the services it offers to enable peer-to-peer Bitcoin exchange in a decentralized and trust-minimized way. Additionally, ChapSmart.com announced exciting new updates focused on merchant onboarding, a major step forward for Bitcoin adoption and circular economies—this was big, impressive, and highly encouraging news.
Special thanks to Bitcoin Arusha, Trezor, and Trezor Academy for making this impactful event possible. We are proud of our founder, GraySatoshi, for attending, learning, networking, and contributing to the growth of the Bitcoin ecosystem.
Massive respect to @Man Like Kweks and his entire team for the outstanding work in building and strengthening the Bitcoin community in Arusha City, Tanzania.
