I really like books that use the mere fact that they exist in text media: just think of 'House of Leaves' and how it makes simple text its tool. Constraints force artistic decisions upon authors, and text as the chosen medium can be used in various ways. One can mix styles, languages, rhymes with non-rhymes, grammar, punctuation, imitate newspaper, diary, audio transcript, etc. It can have every level of abstraction or realism. Mere text provides so many ways to arouse emotions, and I haven't even mentioned the art of book covers... #HouseOfLeaves #books #bookstr #reading
