Last time I met with my brother he was "amazed" by how an "AI" in his new smasnug phone could erase objects in the picture. He's completely non-technical, and he was convinced that AI is a "next big thing".
Fast-forward to 8 months later: He admitted that every single question he asked AI about got him an incorrect response, that it's wasting his time and he prefers to just... use a regular search to find the information. He said "you were right sis" and agreed with every single point I made.
If even non-technical people are realizing it, bubble will definitely burst in 2026 (and it's not going to be pretty for US economy). But hey, at least we'll get a lot of cheap RAM and SSDs :blobcat3c:
