It means a lot to come home and share this award with the rest of the team. From the very beginning, in August 2021, when we on-boarded our first shop and started paying our first salary in Bitcoin, it's never been a one-man show. You probably know that we run a surf program for kids. But did you know? 1. It's been running for 15 years. 2. It operates 5-6 days/week, 52 weeks/year. 3. Between 30 - 40 kids attend, every single day. 4. We pay 100% of all staff salaries in Bitcoin.

With support from Bitcoin Beach we helped kick-start 23 circular economy projects across the African continent throughout 2023 - 2025. I'm considering the idea of planning an extended trip in 2026, to visit as many of these projects as possible. Maybe 2 -3 weeks, visiting 10 - 15 projects, something like that. If we turned this into an organized group thing, who'd be keen to join? It's just an idea for now, nothing at all confirmed, but trying to gauge interest.

This has to be one of my favourite paintings so far!! @BTCPay Server - gotto love what these awesome people built! Enabling anyone to accept Bitcoin payments without a middleman. We've been using their software (running on our @Voltage node) since the beginning of the year and have crowdfunded just over 2 BTC. Wouldn't have wanted to do it any other way.
