for my benefit in seeing bitcoin succeed, yes. but all of my donations to HRF have not necessarily helped Strike, for example

I support open source, I donate what I can, where I can, when I can. I just don't want the base layer being fucked around with too much.
Also Bitcoin development doesn't just involve Bitcoin core. All the other opensource developments happening under the Bitcoin umbrella like lightning, cashu, statechains, btcpay server, etc
I can see your return on investment isn’t immediate, but it always pays off in the long run. If energy is neither created nor destroyed then your expended energy must come back to you in another form. Most likely it will return from another person and another form. @jack mallers
