A lot of Bitcoiners only use Lightning a few times a year when they head to conferences. They pay for food, merchandise, etc. while at a Bitcoin conference and then don't use Lightning again until their next one. It's a sad truth. Lightning should NOT be a novelty. Nostr is the best damn use case for Lightning to date. This point needs to be sung from the mountain tops.

Anything under 1M sats should be using lightning imho. Especially in high fee environments, it doesnβt make sense to be making small Bitcoin transactions without at a minimum funding new channels.
Thatβs really fucking sad to be honestβ¦ Nostr does highlight an important use case for lightning. The direct monetization of content without a middle manβ¦ how do Bitcoiners not see this???
It also bugs me that that a majority of Bitcoiners are not using nostr and insist on staying on Xβ¦
What self custodial lightning wallet would you recommend for beginners, not having to open and close channels?
Mutiny seems pretty great.
Phoenix from ACINQ is another option to play with.
Phoenix works pretty well for me and helps people understand seed words without dabbling too much on chain
Come to Vancouver we are growing our merchants by the day!!! We can buy coffee, meat get a haircut and fix your computer and pay all in bitcoin! @npub1864j...t2tq
Need more things to buy with lightning.
Have lightning, but unless I give it away what do I buy?

Are these considered taxable exchanges? I am not up to speed on the tax ramifications of spending BTC or Lightning. Can you recommend information sources on the tax consequences of spending BTC or Lightning?
I was like that before nostr
Thank you. I don't know much in this, but think I should tax the outcoming payments. A lot of hype here forgets about this. Once they catch you avoiding taxes then what.
Now you can get your getalby wallet up and running on your Wordpress site.. At least you can if you can figure out how.. Yes, I'm hoping someone knows the steps. I see the LN Publisher on the left hand strip near the bottom but I can't seem to find my wallet? Any clues from folks far more tech oriented than me?
