Mostly as a way for me to share links between devices. Right now the webserver is also the relay.

Markor + Syncthing is the best you're going to get for extremely simple notes with p2p syncing on all your devices. Markor is a great balance of "as simple as you want + it actually does a lot of shit if you prefer"

Yeah I use telegram saved messages for a similar reason, but would like something like that. Preferably with a synced app on my desktop too, like telegram.

Maybe nip04 could be repurposed just for this 🤔

I moved from simplenote to Joplin the other month, as I can run my own server. It's fairly basic, I just use it for text.

Note-taking is overrated. I already have a draft relay hooked up via amethyst that stores notes just fine. Could add a second relay for specifically notes that aren't drafts. Users want angency. Agency comes in different forms in any app we use. If you want AGENTIC note-taking, the answer is not simple. The answer is

Even if you connect relays to another notepad application- the answer will always be LogSeq. Yes, the path to "a Nostr LogSeq" is convuluted, but there is real interest behind it, not just myself. I met a nostrich earlier this year who is already trying to build this, but I don't recall who it was. I aim to build it too, after I develop a Nostr client (or two). On the subject of note-taking, I predominately use discord myself. I find there is a difference between temporary notes and archival. For me, LogSeq is my archive or vault. Discord is where I store my short-term or less meaningful notes. I imagine this isn't much different than how you use Telegram. FREE THE #NOTES. FREE THE #BOOMMARK. FREE THE WEB. i was thinking about a private note taking and todo list app on nostr. replacing it with my google keep.

I often use todoist.com for taking notes. It's a todo app, but it works quite well for taking notes or saving links (bookmarks) with a note. These items all line-up in a inbox which I 'clean' up once a week during my week review moment.

I used Ulysses , it is simple and markdown . can write everything down , separately on new sheets then put back together .

So based on your description Google Keep would fit your usecase. Just drop note there, don't need name. Synced.

Last year I searched for a Notes App after moving away from iCloud. i tried many apps but at the end my choice is Joplin. Use it on my Android Phone, my iPad and my two Windows and one Linux PC. It's pretty good

the best note-taking app simply does not exists. I use telegram as well then consolidate on markdown files with Sublime + Git, where I also keep journals.

Why not just email yourself? I email ${YOURHANDLE}+notes@gmail.com. I have occasionally used other apps over the years. Needless to say the only notes that are still preserved are those that were in my email.

i synch the notes across devices with syncthing. Maybe not ideal, but does the job great!

I've been using Joplin. you can self host a server and sync across devices in a self sovereign way. it's open source. someone just needs to write a nostr wrapper for posting....

Try obsidian, notes are stored locally and are just markdown files. You can sync the folder with syncthing to different devices.
