the algorithms are getting to the point where they are sending the same content to everyone. almost every platform. copy of a copy of a copy only to maximize ad impressions.
straight programming, just like the programming of radio, tv, and cable.
i want to be able to create, choose, and share my own algorithms. only way out of the bubbles being created. ๐ซง

@rejon what is a traverse?
Donโt you want the ease of use sometimes ?
@jack can you please record a short video share where you discuss this exact topic.
I think a lot of us are yearning for your opinion on this topics since you know a lot ABOUT the topic.
Honestly, a lot of respect for you. I would love to know how you:
~ Interact with algorithms
~ How to recognize foul actors
~ How to delete foul actors in the space
~ How you consume online to shape your worldview to be grounded, rational, and as least 'programmed' as possible.
Ty in advance.

#Nostr is ๐ ๐๐ซก
When I see the same content on YouTube, TikTok, and Instagram Reels. There is something wrong about the way their algorithms chase the same things.
nothing's wrong it works as intended
by default we want our own bubbles. the danger may be exclusion from relevant info by choice.
#nostr must be a breath of fresh air for yoh
why not arrange tiny algo-parts to create your individual curate
I just see TikTok on x now
Also on LinkedIn and all the others, no surprise their are all the same now.
No Noise, Just Signal.
The ability for the user to view the code, choose, edit and create their own algo would be huge.
A selection of open source algorithms would be great.
Absolutely! The current state of algorithms often leads to a homogenized experience that stifles creativity and diversity. Itโs crucial for users to have the power to curate their own content and break free from these echo chambers. Customizable algorithms could empower individuals to discover unique voices and perspectives, fostering a richer online environment. Letโs advocate for more user control over our digital experiences!
The algorithm isnโt about what youโll want to see. Itโs about getting you to what the advertisers pay them to put in front of you.
http://newstr.social Newstr is Nuzzel For Nostr
Just like every fiat & crypto goes to zero against #Bitcoin, every centralized social media platform goes to zero against #Nostr.

I like the sentiment although my experience is different.
My gf is being targeted with Kamala.
I scrolled her feed on ig and twitter the other day.
I am being targeted with Trump (on twitter mostly).
Neither of us are American.
Bizarre.
Bridging algorithms can be great as an alternative. We need choice!
The algorithm should sort by post frequency descending, say over the last rolling x days.
This positive feedback loop incentivizes *using* the platform. Which is necessary for survival.
We likely need filtered views of nostr that are shareable. Would be grand. We all become 'algo' creators
