For many years I had never seen the extraordinary fully zoomed out Tank Man photo Today in China even the tiniest reference of Tiananmen Square or 6/4 (June 4) is live-censored by the CCPโ€™s dynamic AI-powered surveillance system. Slowly erasing the event from peopleโ€™s minds and family histories Even imagery (for example a photo sent of 6 leaves and 4 flowers) is instablocked, with punishment sure to follow THAT is the technological environment we must find ways for freedom to survive in I absolutely believe it will happen. Life finds a way. Tyrants and empires always fall. But it wonโ€™t be easy or handed to us on a silver platter image

Tyranny requires constant maintenance. In the long run cracks always appear, but if you donโ€™t prevent it from happening, suffering is guaranteed and you may not live to see the end of it. Thatโ€™s why we should always fight it before it takes root.
I've walked Tiananmen Square, during the time that I taught in Beijing. It was surreal, with the same party in power as when the June 4th Massacre occurred. Instead of people being killed for their protests for freedom like during the Tiananmen Square Massacre, some day China will walk free from the CCP into their destiny.

Can you imagine how the USA government would have responded if Americans "protested" like this? (All of these photos are from BEFORE the tank man video) Most of the photos I posted in this thread came directly from western journalists who were in Beijing at the time. Your government pushes these "peaceful protests" narratives to justify its own slaughter of actual peaceful protesters.
Sorry i don't completely agree with you. "Is it amazing that many of us in the West thought he got trampled by the tank, when he never did?" True, we don't know what happen to him. Another proof that china is just trying to erase this story : "While at the same time our govts mass murder innocent kids in gaza and we try to ignore it?" Sorry i don't agree. "our govts" are trying to do something, and people too, but the one in charge is the butcher Netanyahu. We can't send an atomic bomb on him so we just do our best. But certainly not stay there eating pop corns. Another proof : "China? I'm much more worried about America and Australia manipulating history." Really ? Take a look : I agree America and Australia can manipulate history too, of course, but not at the same level as dictatorship can. Thank you for this opinion share.
For the first one, you can find the video easily online. The tank drives around him, and continues on its way. For the others, first, the mainstream media (Wikipedia) is not a source of information. If you want to know more about Xinjiang, go there. I have. There is a genuine independence movement there, which the Chinese government surpresses. There is no genocide though.
"the mainstream media (Wikipedia) is not a source of information. " As many other sources, including you. (they also have multiple source where they take the news, in the page bottom). "go there. I have" At this game no one can be trusted. why should i trust you more than "others" ? Genocide is not only about killing people or torture them. It's also about killing their culture. Like north-american have done with indians a long time ago. China do the exactly same with Uyghurs erasing their culture and what they are, with a birth control, to make them be less and less in quantity in future. It is easy for china gov. to mute internal voices. But it is a lot more harder when they come from foreign free speech countries.
