Now that i finally run my own node my thoughts quickly went to also start home mining βοΈ
I want to get the full experience like it was in the early days, when mining was packaged together with bitcoin core software.
What would be a good device to start home mining? Energy prices are very high here, so i donβt plan to earn steady rewards as this would just result in losses. I would go for lottery mining with a good feeling of at least decentralizing the network πͺ
Heard a lot good stuff about Bitaxe! Any bitaxe owners here? Can you recommend? Would you suggest Supra or Gamma for starters?

I'd like to shill my 120V miner, but this is a Bitaxe use case all day.
I'd suggest the Gamma but after installing the latest update it runs so hot that I have to leave it on the patio to keep it from overheating.
I already heard that the gamma needs more tinkering and is noisier than the supra. Do you have a nuctua fan installed?
Stock fan. Oddly, it ran fine for months until I updated it to 2.5.1
