it's banker type shit, not properly decentralized
It's a giant armory stocked exclusively with footguns. You either put 9 holes through your shoes learning to self-host or you just LARP with a custodial wallet.
I'm running lnd testnet on my server and so far no problems. Also setting up lightning through Zeus wallet is pretty easy. And Phoenix Wallet manages the hard part themselves.
I think Lightning is great for instant payments. I don't know if merchants are willing to take unconfirmed on-chain transactions. Depends on the fee. But they won't see the fee.
