He's not wrong. Bitcoin is often seen as digital gold and a store of value and as such is a direct competitor to gold. Meanwhile Monero known as digital cash is working best as a medium of exchange taking on the USD.
Fun fact. Comparing BTC and gold Bitcoin is the clear winner. But when it comes to stability Monero is fucking great constantly but slowly gaining against USD.
If you want to win in this game use both as needed.
