@npub1yvw6...0jwn I think it sorta depends on the church one attends. Some have more of a dress code -- Men wear men's attire, women should wear dresses and head coverings. Some pretty much anything goes. I think it would be good if chest, waist and hips to at least mid thigh should be covered. Shoes optional, but a wise choice. When I attend a gathering of Christians I (female) wear a dress, socks, shoes and a hat, but that's my daily wear also.

@npub1yvw6...0jwn business casual. So nice pants or jeans and a polo or button down shirt. Sometimes a service is offered very early come as you are. Later service is more traditional. I expect with recent happenings dress code has become very lax. I would think parishioners of the 50’s would be horrified by what we think is Sunday best.
Ok, my thoughts. When I was younger, I was taught to treat church as if you were going to dinner at grandma’s house, which meant dressing up. But as I got older I have drifted to more of the business casual attire. I wear jeans, but they aren’t faded/worn, and a nice polo or button down shirt, like what I would wear to work. So that said, I have come to believe God doesn’t much care what you wear, as long as you’re showing up to mass…
@npub1yvw6...0jwn Women = Dresses (that do not show cleavage, are not sleaveless, and come down to at least the knee). Men = Suit with tie or at least sports coat with tie. God actually does care what you wear to Mass, because what we wear reflects the effort we make and the respect we have for who we are going to see. If you were going to meet the President and you dressed in a suit but you go to meet God and are dressed in a t-shirt, something's not prioritized correctly.
