I rented a Turo last summer when I went to Arizona. I flew into Phoenix and had to take a bus from the terminal to find the car in a scorching hot parking lot at the edge of the airport. I was heading up north that evening and while I was on the highway in the middle of the desert, a truck knocked over a road cone that went flying under my wheel. It tore off the wheel well shield, which I went back to retrieve from the shoulder and throw into the trunk. Since the car was driveable, I kept going to my destination. I took photos and reported the incident to Turo. A week later, after I had returned home, the owner of the car asked me for my insurance information to file a claim. Itβs been over a year since and they never followed up. Five star experience!
