Try the new onboarding flow and a FROST signer with your @Npub.pro site! Go to site Settings in dashboard, Other section, turn "Signup with Start.Njump.me" switch ON. Users signing up on your site will go through the Nstart onboarding process. Try it with your normie friends and let us know how this onboarding works for them!

Hey, do you remember Nstart? Now it can be used by any Nostr application, web or mobile, to offer an easy onboarding flow! You can integrate it effortlessly via a simple redirect, modal or popup: in the end, the user is automagically logged into the app, without needing to touch their keys/bunker. Jumble.social, nostr-login (and so every npub.pro website), nostr.band, flotilla.social, nosotros.app, whynostr.org are already using it, beg your favorite app to join the group! Check the integration manual: 📃.md A npm package is also available for the modal (suggested) version: https://www.npmjs.com/package/nstart-modal View quoted note →

something really interesting to me is that when onboarding new people, you guys dont seem to explain to them that they get to pick which servers they're sending their data to, which is a vital feature of nostr... such a powerful one that defines the protocol in it being decentralized (if people dont self host relays and send their data to the same 5 popular relays, how could one say they own their data?) i get we're trying to make it easy and convenient, but we're in an era where convenience and ignorance caused all the current social media issues so how about we keep it as informative as reasonably possible? #asknostr
i love to hear it. thank you for working on ways to make this whole nostr mess accessible. i think we should also spread the importance of having as many relays and clients as possible, some clients and relays might not be fully effective compared to the big popular ones rn but in a way they're just as important. as more users join the nostr network, we'll see bigger results. lets not forget we have more developers than all those legacy platforms!
I think one thing that isn't properly emphasized with Nstart is that you can pass npubs to follow and relays to use for the new profile. So the app might customize the experience for a new user based on what they're looking at right now. I.e. npub.pro sites will suggest the admin and contributors of the site to follow, and will pass the contributors' set of relays to be used for the new profile. So instead of connecting to default big relays/profiles, the decision on follows/relays is delegated to experienced humans (site admins in this case).
