The Brazilian Supreme Federal Court (STF) sentenced Aildo Francisco Lima to 14 years in prison for participating in the January 8th anti-democratic acts. Lima sat in the chair of Minister Alexandre de Moraes during the events and said: "Hey, guys, this is Xandão's chair. Damn, now I'm a minister of the Court. Let's go, okay?" The defense questioned the authenticity of the video, claiming that the file did not correspond to the original version posted by Lima. However, in a testimony to the Federal Police, Lima denied posting the video on his social media, but acknowledged the authorship of the material. On September 27, 2023, he was arrested preventively by the PF in Campo Limpo Paulista, São Paulo. The arrest was upheld unanimously by the STF's First Panel in June 2024. In April, Moraes granted him house arrest. The minister ordered precautionary measures, such as the use of an electronic ankle bracelet, prohibition of using social media, prohibition of contacting other individuals involved in January 8th, granting interviews, and receiving visits, except for lawyers and family members.
