@Seth For Privacy I don’t think this is a fair characterization of what’s being built here. Most of the apps running on the Nostr protocol are less than a year old and have barely even gotten off the ground. Bitcoin took multiple years before people outside some very limited circles began to take notice. This is a FOSS protocol that has a passionate developer community, not to mention a user base that has no desire to go back to corporate social media. Give it time before trashing it, please.
Yeah whatever I’m just here so I can say cunt and in ten years when that’s super offensive I can be like β€œhonkey wut” but really I mean β€œnigga wut” yet somehow that’s different?? Get fucked, Ya cunts. I’m a wage slave too: Figure it out. They divide and conquer while we debate semantics. Wake up ya asshole cunt (n-words) If that doesn’t put language in perspective for you, I don’t think we have the time of day for each other. Sorry. Sorry not sorry it’s a sad state of affairs and if you don’t see it I think you’re the problem not me and I encourage you to correct me why I am wrong because really, I don’t want to be right. (Rude, or anything else.) Shock value is shock value and so long as we let it hold power over us, it will. Figure. It. Out.
If we can't have honest, divergent opinions about the state of Nostr without people being abject assholes about it, then my bearishness will 100% prove true. Being able to openly discuss issues with each other without purely strawman, insulting replies is vital to the success of any project like this, even more so because its success relies on social networks.
