If we are going to have tax, then it seems a Consumption tax is the way to go... assuming we want a system that makes any sense. While it does infact "disproportionately affect the poor", we have carve outs for food products, primary residence, and primary residential utility use.

@npub1a76k...3kkt so yeah, why does the UK charge such outrageous taxes? Why does UK law allow offshoring wealth? Why are the fingers pointed at major corporations and foreigners without including generations of families of domestic "parasites" that have been doing this sort of thing for centuries?
