Murray Rothbard on the European Union, circa 1989. Spoiler alert; he was on the money. Literally.

Very nice! I didnt know this video, and there aren't many recordings of him, would be great to have an archive with all of them...
π€ Glad you liked it too and there are quite a few Rothbard videos out there, some of them will blow your mind with regards to how accurate they are. Just like this one. Will keep sharing the interesting ones I dig up.
Yeah really enjoyed watching it too

Thanks, but I already watched all on this channel...
In fact I made a fork of the show called Read Rothbard Use Bitcoin back in the days.
Mises Institute is probably the best source for Rothbard's work. They might have a lot of unpublished audio recordings of his lectures.
Ngl, simply reading everything he has published would itself take a lot of time π
The Mises Institute Alabama has the entire personal library of Rothbard. I was browsing it for hours, and the highlights were his handwritten notes inside Das Kapital, both hilarious and insightful.
He's one of those people the commies can't use their common retort 'you haven't read the literature' against.
Reading literature you do not agree with takes a special kind of intellectual acumen, leave alone patiently and competently retorting with 1000's of words, which he of course did.
Isn't this what Trump (and many other Americans) wants with the dollar?
This is exactly what the usd is and it will have steroids added to it with stables
Embassy Suites just isnβt what it used to be. π
You can say that again!
Great stuff. Thx for sharing this.
Rothbard is glorious

You can say that again π€ He is my fav Austrian economist
He was brilliant
What an intellectual and scholar this man was.
If Bitcoiners read everything Rothbard has written, the movement will be taken to the next level, because Bitcoin can truly make his ideas a reality, in a 'sly, roundabout way'.
His book 'For a New Liberty' is a great place to start.

I couldnβt agree more mate π€ This book along with Anatomy of the State and What has gvt done to our money are essential reading
His work on the 'Progressive era' is probably the best source of information to understand the potential direction the US Government x US Bitcoin industry alliance is going to take
My peepsβ¦
Great, insightful history. TY
Ok, I mostly agree.
But at the same time European integration has been a net positive for good, I'd said.
For example, integrating into common fiat money has decentralised power to inflate the money, as many governments have to agree to do it.

Rothbard hmmm sounds Brazilian
What foresight he had!
You can say that again!
I say that people should bring more praxeology and austrian economics to nostr. Way more fun than always the same btc content. Praxeology and Nostr are a match made in heaven
would be awesome to get Jeffrey Tucker and Tom Woods to join.
I have answered the call π
