This is why the culture of #Bitcoin needs to stay strong. And EVERYONE who truly believes in bitcoin needs to run a node and get at least one miner. (Or setup a mining farm too, that would be good) If the people who are passionate about Bitcoin and its promise can’t put their economic weight to defend it, the future might not be as bright as we hope. Our greatest advantage is that no one will care as much as we do. πŸ”₯✊🏻

when fees are high, you want to be mining for it and not paying for it. check out rigly.io you don't necessarily need to own the miners. But you can participate on the both sides of the trade depending on the market, as long as there are miners wanting stable income and buyers able to stomach the volatility.
That’s a great strawman that neither distinguishes why those or different, or that what I am proposing is directly in line with the incentives of the system, which is why it *does* work. There was never a world where Bitcoin works without people. To the contrary, it works *because* it aligns the incentives of the system with the incentives of the individual. Where communism does the exact opposite, it puts them perfectly in contradiction to each other.
Dude that’s awesome! Are you able to make it work with Whatsminers? I ask because I want to make one with a tiny screen that literally operates like a thermostat, connected through Ethernet to control the temperature in the house with the miner in the attic. I’d happily work with you guys to help make this a reality if you are interested. Would save me tons of work to utilize something that’s already a major part of the way there!
