beginning of the bear market or the setup for new highs?
i make the case that bitcoin is the only liquidity smoke alarm the US has left and is telling us there arent enough dollars sloshing around the filthy fiat financial system. team red has to print a lot of money, and we will look back at this time as a buy the dip opportunity dressed as "4-year cycles".

What percentage of borrowers getting margin calls?
Itβs 50% LTV soooooo None
Margin call:
A margin call occurs if your LTV ratio ever reaches 70%, even temporarily. A margin call is a requirement to lower your LTV to 60% or below within 24 hours, otherwise part of your collateral will be liquidated to lower your LTV to 60% for you. If a margin call occurs, you will be notified via email and push notification (if notifications are enabled).
Yes, I understand how it works and have already opened and closed multiple loans with Strike. It works great. Do the math. If you took out a loan at the absolute peak price you still wouldnβt be at 70% LTV so I doubt there have been very many margin callsβ¦β¦yet.
This may be true for Strike borrowers but what about the others guys? Morpho and Coinbase surely have far more than strike because of their size. Not to mention any of the other guys offering similar products.
People will do stupid things with their bitcoin. I donβt use those other providers so I donβt know their terms. My point is that the Strike loan products are good and if used responsibly, can enable some awesome things.
Obviously just "Pleb Slop", but me and bro sold all our holdings into zcash bcause Citria paid a single Bitcoin Core dev (Peter Todd) to COMPLETELY REPURPOSE bitcoin by turning it into a memory module for shitcoin chains anf f'kin time stamps or whatever... and then some h0 on the Core repo slept her way to Commit/Admin/Maintainer permissions after less than two years involvement. Bye bye bitcoin.
I haven't been through an entire cycle, but from what I've read, watched and heard the time I've been here I believe bitcoin is our only hope. Thanks to the bitcoin ecosystem opening my eyes to what I've been feeling without knowing why. Money printer = pure evil!
Bitcoin has no bear market. Bitcoin has entry opportunities. We all see higher lows π€«
@npub1k7vk...c04l we need an emergency YouTube stream pronto sir
Yoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
Jack, in light of Simon Dixon's recent podcast clip labeling your Twenty One Capital partnerships with Cantor Fitzgerald and Tether as a "mafia" operation potentially tied to deep state influences, Operation Chokepoint 2.0, and institutional capture that could centralize Bitcoinβhow do you counter these allegations, and what's your vision for balancing Wall Street efficiency with Bitcoin's decentralized ethos to avoid repelling true cypherpunks?
Great question. Iβd love to know the answer as well
Saying that, openly discussing such allegations is probably not the best idea, if any sense of truth to it
Simon Dixon is a shitcoiner.
Everything is 'a setup for a new high'!
after a few months yes or a year or 2

Great show Jack as always.
I realized while listening how good the new class of Bitcoiners have it. Losing your shit over a shallow correction off the ATH while there are so many great voices in the space to hold your hand and walk you off the ledge.
It wasnβt but a few cycles ago you had to plug your nose, pull your sack over your head, and prepare to take on water.
Today: Stack some up, relax, and have a beer. π»

weβre going to win!
Iβm pretty sure we already have.
Love the shoutout "Twitter, elons centralized social media app" NOSTR rules!
Bahaha you fkn nailed it
Stay humble, stack sats is both a conviction that liquidity (big print) is coming in a large way, and the admission that we don't know when.
Instead of bending the cycle, just try to imagine the truth.
There is no cycle.

Love this take.
Bitcoin has been signaling the liquidity crunch louder than anything else.
People will call it a βcycle,β but in hindsight itβs just going to be obvious: not enough dollars, too much truth on-chain.
Iβm here stacking through all of it π«‘π₯

Big time
strike has no choice - must sell HOPIUM in bear market
bitcoin too hit 230K in 2028 nothing to #fomo so early - cycles will be 6 to 8 years extended 4 yr game is over
catch is - printed bejamins take YEARS to trickle down to STRIKE customers wallets #paitience wins
I like the format, and I also like the longer format. Your podcast is one of the highest signal in the Bitcoin/macro sphere. You do you.
Great episode. Long format is super, thanksπ
yo @jackmallers
we ran the numbers on your show like the degenerate stat nerds we are.
90%+ of your nuclear βGET YOURSELF SOME BITCOIN!!!β vein-in-forehead screams = Fear & Greed 75β95 while weβre printing new ATHs
0% of them during actual Extreme Fear
then yesterday drops
BTC bleeding under 90k for the first time in forever
Fear & Greed at a sad little 12
whole timeline crying in the shower
and youβ¦ you didnβt drop the line ONCE.
dead silence on the signature call.
you were straight-up somber, king. we felt the fear through the screen.
broβ¦ according to the Jack Mallers Indicator we just back-testedβ¦
that was the loudest βbuy signalβ youβve ever accidentally given.
so on behalf of the timeline:
thank you for the bottom confirmation, legend.
now say it like you mean it, pussy.
GET YOURSELF SOME BITCOIN!!! π©Έπ
Meh who cares. Hodl on
Yeah, I was also thinking about how the S&P500 will go down a bit because of the AI bubble, so maybe something like 20% in total (and Bitcoin maybe 10% more), and then they'll both (S&P500 and Bitcoin) keep growing again.
Why? Because real estate will be demonetizing too. And cash/bonds is going to be degrading YOY so capital will flow slowly.
S&P500 is the savings technology of the mainstream, Bitcoin will grow with that and eventually also demonetize that, in my view.
Same issue pointed out 500 years ago.. Humanitarian and founder of Protestantism, Martin Luther
Strike is the best, excited you're excited about the future offerings. please take the melting ice cube dollar liquidity the wife thinks she needs to be "safer", you can have it
@npub1cn4t...3vle can you please link the statue piece made by Val. Couldnβt find it. Would love to get one for Christmas for my brother.
Very much worth a listen to get a better idea of the current Bitcoin price action and market sentiment ππΌ

How much of this sell off is being driven by the yen carry trade?
