#soapminer @SoapMiner Just got my peppermint tallow bar. LAWD, this has to be one of the best bars of soap I've ever put on my body! Nice lather, INCREDIBLE smell, and rinses so clean! My only complaint is that I didn't buy a few more. And that USPS had traveling all over the country, before it got to me, lol. It's an AWESOME product. 10, out of 10, would recommend. image

This is the #bookstr macro I want to use for publishing all of the Great Works, so anyone interested should scream at me, now. (Or don't, and scream at me, later, as I am always around. 😂) I've been working on it, for months, by attempting to publish different `30040` structures and see how I would best-address the individual parts. Also, I've been reading a lot of citation pattern documentation. That's how I came to the conclusion to make one generic book macro, rather than something #Bible specific. #christian #catholic #biblestr

The #bookstr 📖 macro is hierarchical. If you find a section or verse event, in the wild, you can just drop the section tags, to find the whole chapter, or the section and chapter tags, to find the whole book. This means you can always backtrack to the entire publication, from just one quoted line or paragraph. We are going to be having these tags in all of our publications, so you will be able to "Bible-search" and "Bible-cite" any of our books! I love books. Name checks out. 😎

Some things: 1. *You have to scroll-right on mobile.* Unlike Jumble and Alexandria, Wikistr is an unapologetic desktop-focused app, and that's why it's cool. If you have a wide screen, you can open up lots of panels, and make some wider, and it turns into the document version of a Bloomberg terminal. Credit for this design goes to @fiatjaf. 2. The different Wikistr themes have different looks, help text, and *different relays*, for the document search and the social interactions. #Quranstr uses Nostrabia, for instance, whilst #Biblestr focuses on Christpill. The basic #Wikistr has been left secular. I am looking for a Jewish relay, but haven't yet found one, so #Torahstr uses generic ones. 3. All have light and *dark themes*. The light themes are so much prettier, but I know you will all use the dark ones. 4. All themes take *your personal relay list* into account, and share a few document relays, so you can just pick the theme you like and use that. 5. *We printed the Bible first because Gutenberg did* and he's the inspiration for our Nostr printing press. We will proceed to print all other open-license books we can find, including the Torah, Quran, classical authors, English literature, etc. They will all be searchable, with this mechanism. 6. This wikistr *can find and render kinds 300023, 30041, 30817, 30818, 30040*, and the comments are kind 1111 and you can vote at the top of the panels, using the up/down arrow buttons. Only kinds 30817/818 are in the left-most panel feed, to keep it uncluttered and true to the origins. Is it maybe in Psalm 123 or 125. The Douay has an off-by-one thing going on with some of the Psalm numbers. That translation combines two of the early psalms that are separated in other translations.

Good morning #asknostr My minibits wallet sends zaps consistently well, but batches received zaps so I get them at weird intervals. I was fine with that because I did still receive them regularly. However I have not received any zaps to my wallet for a week now, despite knowing I'm getting zapped here in Nostr. Any tips on how to troubleshoot this?

It's at a point now where it's almost impossible for me to use the "regular" internet. I can't access half the sites. The reason? I care about my digital hygiene and thus use a VPN. Sometimes switching to a different VPN or switching the country of the VPN works; other times it does not. Oh well, I guess I'm not going to watch that video, or read that article, or look at that picture. Whatever. In addition to that, if I'm not blocked completely, I have to prove that I'm human every step of the way. Captchas, re-captchas, Cloudflare checkboxes, the whole shebang. I am human. I promise. And I am very annoyed. Outright angry, even. I doubt that any robot will ever be as annoyed as I am right now about the current state of the internet. What annoys me most, actually, is that all these measures don't really work. There's bots everywhere. Robots get access to the stuff anyway, using farms of humans, just like in the good old days of WoW gold farming. The centralized "safety" nets of Cloudflare et al brought down large swaths of the internet multiple times in the last couple of weeks alone, and as things centralize more and more these outages will happen more and more. I'm very close to breaking up with the legacy internet. I'm human, I can cryptographically prove that I'm human, and I have sats to spend. But the legacy internet doesn't care about that. It cares about farming me and my data, while annoying me to no end. I've been nostr only for a while now, but that was only on the "social media" side. 2026 might be the year where I go nostr-only for everything, or to phrase it slightly differently: permissionless for everything. No more "are you human?" No more "I'm sorry, Dave. I'm afraid I can't do that." No more cookie banners, paywalls, and AI slop. No more being treated like a child. Even if it means that I'll have to self-host everything. Even if it means that I'll have to build & maintain stuff myself. Even if it means that it's a lot of work and pain. Nothing worth having ever comes easy. But the easy stuff is not worth having in the first place. Here's to the year to come, and the new corner of the internet, build on cryptography and webs-of-trust. Real value. Real connections. Real humans. Here's to nostr.
