I posted the following in the political discussion telegram group, what are your thoughts?
"Speaking for myself and given the context of the world's affairs at this time, I wish to be as self sufficient, nimble and mobile as possible.
I'm still relatively young (30), so if there is a revolution, further disintegration of the state and EU, further wars, genocides, bank failures, depressions, and any other failures or injustices, I wish only to be able to be in a position that I may protect myself and others through these times.
You talk about not wanting to "throw millions of people into abject poverty" in dealing with our sovereign debt issues, but we face a situation that has no easy outcome.
The country is effectively going into default. The damage has already been done over decades.
There are many ways this can go, but none of them are pretty.
So, I recommend people to move towards self sufficiency as a way to protect as many of their own and their neighbours basic needs and rights as possible.
Financially, I think it is sound to store your wealth in hard bearer assets. Take your pick. But I wouldn't want to have large savings in the bank over the next decade.
Same with property. I wouldn't want to hold a large portion of my wealth in it. Perhaps debt can be good, because with a fast inflating currency, your debt value goes down over time. But that's also risky if you lose your income or don't have the financial means to dig yourself out of a hole.
I would also not want to have only one source of income. My dad used to say "even a stool has 3 legs".
All in all, these are tough times.
At what point will you decide that nobody is going to save you, and maybe you should take care of your own interests (and support your neighbours) while the nation and big corps around us try to siphon away everything we've got?"

Hey! I'm Seb. 👋🏼
I'm currently exploring ideas for a NOSTR journalling app, and dreaming of owning a stake in a community land project.
I'm currently based in Portugal and I'm building my own mobile tiny home. Hopefully to be finished before Christmas!🤞🏼
Say hi 😊
I've joined a political discussion telegram group and I'm evangelising Bitcoin to between 100-200 people.
It always surprises me how little a lot of people really know about Bitcoin, most are stuck in the FUD headlines from 5+ years ago.
I really believe one of the best things anyone can do to help Bitcoins cause, is just to talk about it openly with your full conviction without holding back.
No need to push, or go out of your way to talk about it, but if the conversation relates and you would naturally speak about it with other Bitcoiners, then speak your truth.
No need to defend or fight for it even.
I find simply speaking your truth and then inviting people towards some deeper research (providing some links), before leaving in peace and respect, is a powerful way to influence others.
We took the lead! Haha
**For anyone still waiting please do reach out!**
