Iran mainly responded to these attacks with missile strikes; a response that increased concerns about the spread of the crisis and its potential escalation into a broader war. In response to Israel's unprecedented attacks on Iran, Saudi Arabia took an active diplomatic approach and announced its goal of reducing tensions and managing the crisis.
