Today I am in Oslo for the awarding of the Nobel Peace Prize to María Corina Machado, a historic recognition for our struggle and for the Venezuelan people.
Here, I am reminded of something I have repeated for years, and which fully aligns with María Corina’s message: there is no peace without freedom. That truth resonates more powerfully than ever at this crucial moment for our country.
From Oslo, I raise my hopes that Venezuelans will soon be able to return home, reunite with their families, and rebuild the free and democratic nation we deserve.

Estamos seguros de que nuestra libertad está hoy más cerca que nunca.
Hoy reiteramos una vez más lo que millones de venezolanos saben: el régimen de Maduro es una estructura criminal que desconoce la voluntad del pueblo. Venezuela eligió un cambio en 2024 y cuenta con un liderazgo legítimo listo para conducir la transición. Reafirmamos nuestro apoyo a las acciones de Estados Unidos orientadas a lograr ese cambio. La exigencia es clara: respetar el mandato popular y avanzar hacia la democracia.
El liderazgo electo en Venezuela está listo para transitar a la democracia, porque nuestra lucha es y será hasta lograr la libertad.
