@jack bitchat is cool, but you know what might rock? Something that prevented wallet drains. Decentralisation is good until you’ve lost your money to malware or social engineering - I’m trying to reach you, no idea if you’re reading this!

Besides mastering Bitcoin and programming Bitcoin, what newer books are there for developers to get onboard?

VC funding for open source, depends on rapid growth of a community. The bet is for the ecosystem to succeed, while you also manage to eek out the right financials. If the financials aren’t met, you’re thinking hard how to milk the community. And when all else fails, you rug the license. All this can change beyond just VC funding of course; public listed companies, PE firms, etc. The secret to success is to ensure a good percentage of customers actually pay, ie subsidize the community.

Feels really sad this is what we see at #fosdem #fosdem2025 @jack deserves way better, we are all at a loss to not hear his keynote (freedom to not attend, you know, if you don’t fancy him)
