So near yet so far Triton Digital’s Omny Studio announced support for video podcasting. It’ll let you produce an RSS feed with video, and automatically produce an audio RSS feed from it if you need that; and dynamically-inserted ads will come soon, we’re told. This is in addition to using Spotify and YouTube’s own systems. (The system encodes all video at 720p, and doesn’t yet support alternate enclosures). I hope Sharon Taylor will add support for alt enclosure.

Fountain launched video hosting yesterday. We have this coming soon. However in the Fountain app if it detects the video in the Alt Enclosure it automatically plays the video and not the primary enclosure audio. TrueFans currently plays the primary enclosure audio and lets the user choose to play the video. Should we copy Fountain and automatically play the video if it’s in the Alt Enclosure or still play the audio and let the user choose. #genuinedilemma @James Cridland @npub1fmx5...wp74 @npub1rcnr...dw4h
