I've been a happy #grapheneos user for a little over year now. @Max gives an excellent summary on why that's a great choice plus a few recommendations (I tweaked a couple of settings, too, after reading this). I would add as a pro also the ability to install apps from unofficial sources ( @Zapstore was mentioned which I use also) even if Google starts limiting this on regular Android. That restriction combined with banning encrypted messaging apps from the Play store is not even that far fetched. Stay safe and don't carry your phone everywhere, especially protests etc!

Inspired by a moronic rant by a local politician: if you want people to make more sustainable choises when consuming stuff, instead of printing more money as you suggest to fund your centrally planned projects (which leads to inflation which leads people to rather overconsume on useless crap than to save), why not make the sustainable options cheaper (and stop inflating everyones savings away)? Not by taxing the unsustainable options more, you can't set a global tax, but by actually making them cheaper with innovation. People will follow incentives but only a small minority will pay premium on inferior products just for ideological reasons.
